Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Applymark collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. In short: we use your information to help you find and apply for jobs, we don't sell it, and you can delete it at any time.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your email address, which you use to sign in.
• Your documents: the resume and cover letter you upload or type in, including the original files, and the tailored versions we create for you.
• Your application profile: answers you give us for job applications, such as your name, phone number, address, links, work authorization and salary expectations. Some of these, like questions about disability, veteran status, gender or ethnicity, are optional and only used to answer those questions on applications.
• Your job search activity: searches, saved jobs, your apply queue and the status of your applications.
• Billing details: your subscription status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Messages and feedback you send us.
• Basic technical data: like server logs and error reports that help us keep the Service working.

2. The Autopilot extension

Autopilot only works in tabs it opens for jobs in your apply queue, while a run is going. On those pages it reads the application form so it can fill it in, and it sends form questions it can't answer from your profile to Applymark so our AI can suggest an answer. It doesn't read your browsing history or other tabs. It stores a sign-in token in your browser so it can connect to your account. Removing the extension deletes that token, and deleting your Applymark account turns it off.

3. How we use your information

• to find jobs, score how well they match you, and write tailored resumes, cover letters and answers;
• to fill in and submit applications when you use Autopilot;
• to run your account, process payments and enforce plan limits;
• to send you messages about your account, such as trial reminders;
• to fix problems and improve the Service.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising. When you apply for a job, the information in that application goes to the employer or job site you're applying to.

4. Who helps us run Applymark

We share information only with services we use to run Applymark, and only what they need:

• Supabase stores your account, data and files.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• Anthropic (Claude) processes your resume and job postings to write tailored documents, scores and answers.
• Adzuna receives search terms and locations to return job listings. It doesn't receive your resume.
• Stripe processes payments.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores some preferences, like your job filters and recent results, so they're there when you come back. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. That removes your profile, documents, files, applications and messages, and cancels any subscription. Some records, like payment history held by Stripe, may be kept where the law requires it.

7. Your choices and rights

You can see and change most of your information in the app at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email hello@applymark.io and we'll help.

8. Security

Your data is stored with access controls so only your account can reach it, files are kept in private storage, and connections are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Children

Applymark isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes

If we make important changes to this policy, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
